This is the very first year that our witch hazel (Hamamelis mollis) blooms so profusely, this year the blooms coincided with this week's last snow storm, both, the blooms and the snow, were sure signs that Spring and Easter are just around the corner.
And the signs of Spring also should remind us that is time to, once again, move ahead our clocks?
Have you move ahead your clocks today?
Today is also a good time to change the batteries, or check, your Fire Alarms.

in my old yard I had Witch Hazel and it took one or two seasons to do it, but it suddenly TOOK OFF.. I had to trim it repeatedly throughout the year ( I hadn't planned properly when planting it). I loved that plant... intriguing little beast
