De Tin Marin, De Do Pingue, Cucara Macara, Titere Fue...

You might be wondering -What language is this? It's Spanish! It's your Mexican (I am not sure if other Latino countries use it)version of: Eeny, meeny, miny, moe....
and that's exactly how one feels about selecting where to go, and no, I am not talking restaurants or night clubs, the choices are civic minded, volunteer driven, community meetings, all here in Plainfield!

Let's see, one could go to the:

Plainwood Square Merchants Association - It will be nice to network there and get to know the faces behind the names.

or the...

United Way Community Council - If you are a house tour and garage sale follower, this is the one! They will also be addressing Volunteer Week in April.

but there is also the...

Urban School District Address - Being involved with the local schools, and maybe even if you are not, it will be interesting to hear what a former Plainfield Principal, turned Motivational Speaker, and present Newark Principal, has to say. Will Dr. Gallon III be there?

or maybe the...

Cable TV Advisory Board - This is one that is the pet peeve of many, but that seldom is attended. Has attendance changed? What is the future of both city and school channels? I wonder.

So, there, now you can see why the eeny, meeny, miny, moe...conflict. Well, at least no one can say we have a boring civic life here in the city, it's all a matter of perspective. Who knows? These meetings could become the social networking beginning of a beautiful community. Maybe BYOB, and cheese, should be allowed at some of these meetings, or if you want to go Mexican, let's us get the Tequila and worm out of that closet!

And you, have you decided where will you be tonight?

For hours and meeting place, please check Dan's CLIPS.

Yep. I wrote about Mr. Kafele back in December and did a presentation at a PEP meeting and Blog about his 50 "i's" for Effective Parenting and parental involvement. So you can bank your last dollar where I'm going. How often does on get to actually meet someone who's work they have cited, quoted or republished!!!
