As more neighborhood associations are getting their own websites, or blogs, I couldn't but wonder how many Plainfield neighborhood associations have their windows open to the Internet via a blog or a website, and while Plainfield TODAY carries most of that information as links I couldn't find one that I have heard of: The Netherwood Heights Neighbors, a Community Organization.
Formed by residents of the Netherwood Heights Historic District, the organization has been successful in linking together its residents. Information about social events to community work is posted at their website.
If you haven't check their website, take a moment today and check it out before they take down their beautiful Holiday Lights Photo Slide. And with a little bit of luck they might still have some 2009 NHHD Calendar, the same that was announced by Bernice's Plaintalker a while ago.
To visit the Netherwood Heights Historic District' neighbors organization go to: netherwoodheights.com.
Having access to information about the various neighborhoods in Plainfield allows us all to get a bigger picture of what our city is like, not by hearsay of third parties, but by factual information that comes from residents of the area. Hopefully this year there will be more windows open into Plainfield's neighborhoods.
Congratulations go to the Netherwood Heights Neighbors for such a success. May many happy events come their way!
