Park Avenue Business Corridor

I know, you would rather read about positive things, and honestly so do I, and trust me, this post has a bit of good on it.

Remember the post where there is picture of a tree full of suckers on Park Avenue? Well, most suckers on most trees are gone. Just like that, gone. Who did it? For the whole week I have been wondering about this. Does Plainfield have a beautification guerrilla? Was it Public Works? Could it be SID? Hmmm!

Well, whoever did it, THANKS! It looks much nicer.

There is much, much work to do on Park Avenue. Like cleaning up the war, peace, and love signs, including this Nazi symbol.

And wasn't Plainfield getting a "Quality of Life" police unit? Plastered signs all over should qualify into this category.

This last dead tree on Park Avenue along with all this chewing gum mosaic on the sidewalks should call the attention of more than this blogger.

But not all is lost. There are small signs of hope as you can see on these pots. One still enjoying a summery impatient, and the other ready to display its fall colors.

While major changes require more than one person, it is often one person that starts the change. If you are by the area, please stop by the flower shop who cares to make an impression and say Thanks!

I believe there is one person on the beautification committee. One out of 40. I guess it is a start. This administration has to go. I hope people are of the mind to vote them out. In over 3 years, I see no enhancement to Plainfield. They can't even get an advertisement out for the July 4th Parade (2006). OUT!

There is a tree right at the intersection of Watchung & Front (on Watchung) that is FILLED with suckers at the bottom sapping growth to the crown.
